Do you remember seeing the advertisement on World Kindness Day ‘09 on telly?
A bunch of primary school kids presenting yellow daisies to their canteen auntie?
Not that I’m a canteen auntie (even thought I was seeing food stuff that day).
But seriously, it was Kindness Day, indeed!
Kids with daisies (SO CUTE!), our neighbour from GoIndia! came and talked to us, and even gave us some peppery love letters lookalike thingy (even though really, I don’t think it’s TOTALLY kindness - I think he was trying to hit on Yusra! HAHA!)
But yay!
Many many good stuff that day!
It was <3!
I’m gonna continue updating later because I need to leave for work now, so tata! :)

Update #1: ZIRCA's Ladies' Night
An ABSOULTE letdown. I swear.
WORST. LADIES. NIGHT. EVER.
Even MoS was WAAAAAAAYYYYY better back then!
Pity it’s no longer around anymore.
Tsk.So yes. Why’s ZIRCA’s Ladies’ Night soooo ‘UGH!’?
BECAUSE THEY SERVE DISGUSTING DRINKS!Sure, we’re entitled to 5 free drinks that night (when I was with Shermaine, Wen Qi & Alvin).. But WTF? We can’t get to choose our drinks!
It’s just Bourbon Coke ALL THE WAY.
OK. Fine. I got a Whiskey Dry with Lemon.
But what the heck? I don’t even drink alcohol! And you’d probably be thinking, “You don’t drink alcohol, no wonder you think it sucks.”
But really, all the other people with me drink socially, and they thought it sucked too. We ended up getting a jug of Vodka Ribena.
If that was your intention, ZIRCA, you win.
But seriously. I CAN’T stop complaining about this.
No, not because I’m Singaporean. -.-“
But because whatever their staffs say don’t tally at all.I asked two of the staffs (at two different occasions) if I could exchange for mocktails with my drink coupons, and they both said yes.
But those two stupid bartenders said no.
And they were totally mass-producing bourbon coke.
It was as if their whiskey’s expiring soon, that’s why they can’t wait to get rid of them all.TSK.
But oh wells.
Company was good. But our energy levels ain’t high enough.
Screwed up bio-clock for me, probably (because I spent an entire week before sleeping in the day and mugging in the night).…I ended my night puking away (I didn’t even finish the glass of Bourbon Coke! x) Alcohol’s NOT MY FRIEND. I swear).

It's Been A Long Time...
…since I posted anything on tumblr.
Exams, you see (even though it’s been a while too).
I’m far too busy working and having fun.
And procrastinating about doing my room.
And going back to the running track.Following this will be a couple more posts, before I head down to POMO for work.
Then it’s “Shoes Shopping” session with Shubs (& Moy too?) during the 4 hours break later.Bloody hell.
I just remembered - it’s “I Love Museums” day today!
ARGHHHH!
*bangs head on the wall*
I WANNA GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Insomnia
It’ll be my BB paper in another 6 hours time, and I haven’t slept a wink.
No, I wasn’t attempting at burning the midnight oil. It’s just that I’ve been tossing and turning in bed since 4ish in the morning. I’m tired, but my mind refuses to let me go to rest. I’m guessing that’s because my body clock’s screwed up. Been sleeping at 9ish in the morning and waking up 4ish 5 in the afternoon for the past week.
UGH!
Suppose to be meet Moy now at Chinatown Macs. Yes, I’m still home… But Moy’s not awake yet (I know so cuz I texted her about thirty minutes ago and there was no response). *envies*
WHY CAN’T I FALL ASLEEP???? NOT EVEN FOR A TEN MINUTES POWER NAP?! :(((
I am such an insomniac.
I think later confirm ‘SKK’. I hope I’d stay awake and remain alert during my BB paper.
Bless me.

Owl City - Fireflies
You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
‘Cause they’d fill the open air
And leave teardrops everywhere
You’d think me rude
But I would just stand and stare
I’d like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay
Awake when I’m asleep
‘Cause everything is never as it seems
‘Cause I’d get a thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
As they tried to teach me how to dance
A fox trot above my head
A sock hop beneath my bed
A disco ball is just hanging by a thread
I’d like to make myself believe
That planet earth turns slowly
It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay
Awake when I’m asleep
‘Cause everything is never as it seems
When I fall asleep
Leave my door open just a crack
(Please take me away from here)
‘Cause I feel like such an insomniac
(Please take me away from here)
Why do I tire of counting sheep
(Please take me away from here)
When I’m far too tired to fall asleep
To ten million fireflies
I’m weird ‘cause I hate goodbyes
I got misty eyes as they said farewell
But I’ll know where several are
If my dreams get real bizarre
‘Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar
I’d like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay
Awake when I’m asleep
‘Cause everything is never as it seems
When I fall asleep
I’d like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay
Awake when I’m asleep
‘Cause everything is never as it seems
When I fall asleep
I’d like to make myself believe
That planet earth turns slowly
It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay
Awake when I’m asleep

The Wall Lizard
‘Gambit’ is afraid of lizards.
Said it seems like they may just fall off the walls any moment.
I laughed because I thought it was silly.
I don’t usually take much notice, nor give a shit about these stupid wall lizards. But I did yesterday (or today, whatever. my bio-clock’s screwed up anyway~). I actually bothered watching this lizard climbing across on the wall atop our study table. Asked Shermain if she was afraid of lizards because that creature reminded me of Kevin.
Next thing I know, that sonofagun started panicking. Saw it slid down a few centimeters a couple of times, and the next thing we know…….
That piece of shit fell down!
Shermain jumped off her seat. I was already standing up because I just got back from the washroom.
…and we laughed between our shrieks.
…and the remaining ‘survivors’ at Tea Garden looked at us like we’ve got a couple of loose screws or something.

Some Days Are Just Better Than The Others
Woke up at 0700h (2 Nov ‘09).
MC test wasn’t fantastic. But it was okay, I guess?
Headed for NP’s Canteen 4 for lunch - had a bento set.
*sighswithamegahugesmiledeepwithin*
Memories, indeed. :)
Got home. Napped good, because it rained.
Had dinner at home.
Headed out.
…and I FINALLY studied - for real real this time. Mugged the night away (0000 - 0630h) with Ah Moy & Thamlimugan at Tea Garden Macs. :)
Watched the terrapins and guppies in the pond.
Breathed fresh air (uhhh… and Aubrey’s ciggies smoke, and some random uncle’s smelly feet. Boo.)
Watched the Moon set, but didn’t see the Sun rise. The skies just gradually turned blue.
Had yongtaufoo for breakfast at Chinatown, with classic Chinese songs in the background - you know, the kind that people of my Mummy’s generation (or older) listen to. The place. The sound. The sight. The setting. How nostalgic! I heart many many. :)
Bought cheecheongfun+yamcake home for Mummy & Tommy for breakfast. One was intended for Daddy, but he was already off to work by the time Aubrey sent me home (0730h).
Showered. Brushed my teeth. Bought 3 tees off Threadless (FREE SHIPPING!).
It’s time I hit the sack.
Good night, World.

Where'd The Exam Stress Go?
It’ll be the start of exams for me in two days time (it’s technically, tomorrow… but I haven’t woke up from my night’s sleep, so yeah) because that’s when I’m gonna have my first paper.
I’m not done with everything yet.
Weird thing is, I still don’t feel the fear/stress/urgency.
…and that’s scary.

“Ethiopia.
Home to people with rich culture and ancient traditions. Due to their geographical isolation from developing areas, changes in the ways they think about their society occur very slowly.
The tribes live in fear of evil spirits who can bring ill fortune to the tribe. ”Mingi”, is used to describe subjects they consider cursed, or otherwise imperfect. There are many different ways in which a thing can be considered a “Mingi”, but there are a few that are more common, and have severe consequences.
Eg: A woman becomes pregnant outside wedlock; married couple becomes pregnant before announcing their intention to the rest of the tribe; a child’s top teeth come in before the bottom teeth; deformity; the birth of twins.
These superstitious people believe that the presence of “Mingi” children on their land curses the tribe.
Solution to the perceived threat? Kill the child.”
